so i've been slacking on THIS blog too!! can ya tell its been busy around here.. hehe..

Wish List

... the problem with this profession is there are so many fun things you could use!! So i decided to keep a wish-list so I dont forget... okay so really maybe its to remind me where my money will go!! I will be updating this i think... quite often. haha...

once i get CS3 - there are a whole bunch of actions - templates etc..
oh and maybe a few filters for my lenses

ive been working on getting my color correct right and i think i may have come close on this one! :) its so hard in a bathroom with no windows to get good lighting, but i have to say i think i did an alright job of fixing it up!

Manual Mode...

Well I have venured into Manual Mode.. and guess what... its not that scary!! Now, let me say, it wasn't until my conversation last night with Wendy that I realized what was REALLY going on.. SOOOO the following pictures were more just me trying to figure things out.. but -- i feel like i did alright! (Or so Wendy says! ..riiiiiiight Wendy!!) ... thank goodness for my younger sister for being such a good sport... Does EVERYONE in my family love the camera in their face!?... they might as well get used to it-- this is for forever.

you may notice my business website on the right hand side of links... Sweet Whispers Photography.. that is so I reminded every day that I am one day closer to realizing my dream.. The site is under construction as I am in the skill building phase of my business - I will update the pictures once I feel I have some that are consistently exposed correctly :) Hopefully after consistently shooting I can move into portfolio building and then eventually officially 'open' :)

That's what my Daddy said 8 years ago.. he gave me a quote from Joseph Campbell...
"Follow Your Bliss." It wasn't until the last two years that I began to really listen to my inner voice... find your passion and find a way to make it your living.. don't work to live, live to work... that is why photography is so important to me... to capture an emotion in an instant and freeze an emotion forever..... that is an honor.
